Built in 1896, the Meade School was originally Gettysburg's first high school before later serving as an elementary school. The historic building remained an important part of the community for nearly a century. In 2012, the former school was carefully restored and transformed into the Federal Pointe Inn, preserving its distinctive architecture and connection to Gettysburg's past.

"The Majestic Theater opened on November 14, 1925, as the largest vaudeville and silent movie theater in south-central Pennsylvania. Built by Henry Scharf as an annex to the historic Gettysburg Hotel, the theater has been an important part of Gettysburg's cultural life for a century. It later became part of the Jennifer and David LeVan Performing Arts Center and underwent a major historic restoration before reopening in 2005." - A summary from the Majestic Theater website.

I went with selective color for two reasons. First, I really wanted to emphasize the marquee and two, how do I photograph something that's already been photographed thousands of times before hand. I am quite happy with the results and thanks to Patti Robinson for planting the seed in me to challenge the way I approach subjects.
