A little update from Dream World Images.

First, I’ve been dealing with some pretty significant back and leg problems over the past several months. The constant pain has made it difficult to walk, let alone get out and explore with my camera. It’s been frustrating, to say the least, but I’m hoping to get some answers soon.

I’ve also made the decision to step away from maintaining this Facebook business page.

Over time, I’ve become increasingly uncomfortable with Meta’s policies regarding the use of photographs and creative content shared on its platforms. As someone who has spent years developing my work and artistic vision, I’m simply not comfortable continuing to share my photography under those terms.

I’m not disappearing, though!

You can still find me on my personal page, and I’ve been spending more time on Substack, where I’m sharing my photography, the stories behind the images, and thoughts from my travels and creative life.

Of course, Dream World Images isn’t going anywhere. My website and fine art galleries will continue as always.

Thanks to everyone who’s followed my work here over the years. I genuinely appreciate it, and I hope you’ll continue following along elsewhere.

Found these while digging through some older photographs today.
They're from a photo walk Josie and I did together in York a few years ago. The pictures brought back something I'd almost forgotten — not what we photographed, but how much I enjoyed simply walking around with my daughter and our cameras.
Funny what a photograph can bring back.

I’ve been spending time looking more closely at the forest floor—at the small, temporary forms that often escape our notice.

This new photo essay, *The Secret Lives Beneath the Leaves*, is about mushrooms, decay, and the quiet world unfolding beneath our feet.

Sometimes the most mysterious landscapes are the ones closest to us.

One path, two very different photographs.

Cooper and I walked this path at Yuko-En, and I almost passed it by. It was one of those scenes that didn’t quite come together for me until I got home and started working with the images. The purple version took it somewhere I hadn’t expected, and then I found a darker, quieter version in the same place.

I made a short video showing the walk and how both photographs turned out. Which version would you follow?
