We spent some time today at the Gettysburg National Cemetery, and then driving around several of the battlefield sites. This place is really amazing, and if visiting is something you've been wondering if you should do.... do it! We're not quite half way through the week and I already know that we'll be back here at some point!

Today we took a ride over to the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia, which doesn't allow photos inside. It was a great experience that we've wanted to have for a long time. But..... no pics allowed.

Fortunately for us though, there are a small group of deer that have been right behind the parking lot of the hotel all three nights that we've been here like clockwork. So today I spent a little time with them at the end of our travels. This one wondered right up behind us as we watched....

Had a good day kicking the crust off the Camera today out and about on Day 1 of a week long trip to Gettysburg (And Beyond!) Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the week brings!!

Certainly not my best work from a technical standpoint.... but lot's of fun shooting these little guys today and trying to kick the rust off the 400mm!!

They were a blast to watch, and I could easily get lost in shooting them all day long!

Today marks the first time in quite a while that I took the Camera out of the bag purely for my own enjoyment, and boy am I glad that I brought them along for this trip!

It's been a minute or two since I got really excited and ran in to get my camera..... but it happened today!!

I was just trying to get a couple things done around the yard today, and as I came back up to the house, my new Pileated friend was just hanging out at the dead tree stump right next to my house, digging for a meal!!

He was kind enough to stay put (And help with the Grub issue I didn't knew I had) while I went in and grabbed one of my cameras!! This was taken from my side porch at 400mm on a crop sensor (7Dii) and not cropped at all!!

VERY exciting!! I hope he sticks around all summer!! :D
