Our lilly has a milestone birthday today! Sixteen, not too sweet, but trying. She got Toyota and some driving lessons today. Love her so so much! Happy Birthday 🎈🎂🎁

I’ve been entering “49 Doves: The Flight 5191 Disaster” in a few film festivals in and around Kentucky, and a few others that made sense for subject matter or cost.

I have mainly entered festivals where I thought I had a chance of getting selected. I never believed I would be selected, but it’s been interesting to try. Next week is selection week for several of them. Fingers crossed.

But to my surprise, I got an email yesterday that I was an official selection in a first-year film festival called the Grief Fest. You can’t make it up! But I’m an early selection it appears, as the date for selection announcements on the festival website isn’t until much later this year. Anyway, it’s official!

49Dovesfilm.org premieres next week at Kentuckytheatre.org. Go get your tickets if you haven’t gotten them already.

After the film premiere, I hope to see you at a small after-party at The Jockey Club, which is the old Cheapside.
