I love this one and there’s a story behind it. $15

My career has been as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I was working with a patient once who was not fond of therapy and just wanted to discharge home with zero plan, practice, or problem solving about how she would do tasks such as toileting. One day while she was super unhappy with me about practicing toileting she had an “accident” (suspected this was on purpose) and there was a big mess. Thinking this would deter me, she said “I guess we won’t have to do this at all today since now YOU have a mess to clean up”. My response was “this is actually a great opportunity that has presented itself! This could very likely happen at home and you’ll need a plan for how to handle it there, so let’s work together on figuring this out” as I handed her a clean towel to help me get started.

Later, one of my favorite supervisors I’ve ever had said “I loved the way you handled that with a Pollyanna approach and I’m going to call it turning s**t into sunshine”🤣🤣🤣😂😂

And that’s where this trophy came from!
