This past weekend I had the chance to document a beautiful proposal at Storm King. Jake and Dylan brought so much joy, warmth, and energy to the day, and even though the first plan for Saturday afternoon was rained out, they were staying around the corner at the Cromwell Manor Inn, and we were able to pivot to the next (beautiful spring) morning. Thank you for trusting me with this moment, it was truly an honor. Congratulations!

Stephanie and Vincent’s previews from their wedding at The Factoria in Peekskill. Going through their photos, it’s clear that this beautiful space was filled with their energy and personality. The space seemed to open up and invite their family and friends to really immerse themselves in the joy and love of their day.

Personally, this place is also special to me because it’s right next to the riverfront that we frequent, whether it’s for a beer with a sunset view, the bike path, or dinner (the food is excellent). I look forward to sharing more photos from this wedding soon, and to coming back in the future 😁

Previews from Alex and Jennifer’s surprise proposal at Storm King Art Center. They had a beautiful spring day for their engagement! Congratulations on this new chapter!

I just spoke with someone this week about planning their surprise proposal at Untermyer Gardens. I was so excited and it brought me back to this little trip where I discovered so many spots that would be perfect to pop the question and take engagement photos. Just take a look at slides 1, 3, 4, 5…well, all of them except slide 2. Slide 2 is just flowers and bees and fun with my macro lens 🙂 So here I am, manifesting that future proposal and engagement session at this gorgeous garden in lower Westchester.

The crazy thing? These photos were from early FALL. It’s an incredible place all year round. Just check out their recent posts to see how beautiful spring is now.

The flowers and warm weather have me thinking about spring engagement sessions. And elopements. And spring proposals. Really anything that gets me outside right now! But really, what could be better than spending time with your favorite person in one of the many beautiful spots we have in the Hudson Valley?

Some previews from Brittany and Joe’s beautiful spring wedding. I’m very thankful to them for asking me to document their wedding day at VIP Country Club and for the warmth that they brought to every interaction. It was a special day! I’m also thankful for warmer weather!

It’s not always easy to create beautiful and dynamic portraits, especially when it feels like it’s below zero degrees. I’m so lucky to work with couples who are willing to brave the elements and who are so in love that it just shines through in the photos. That intentionality pays off…portraits don’t need to monopolize the day. These portraits took less than a couple of minutes each. I’m super grateful to be able to do this with couples who value creating photos with natural interactions and enjoying their days with family and friends.
