🚨 Extreme Arizona Rainfall Totals Possible 🚨

The Saturday evening HRRR model is showing some unbelievable totals for rainfall over the next 48 hours (mostly on Sunday) for parts of Arizona!

The Mogollon Rim is going to get HAMMERED with storms and this rain, and the HRRR is showing 12.5” just west of Globe, AZ. THAT’S A FOOT OF RAIN, goodness! While this might be a little extreme for reality, even the blended model (that takes lots of model outputs and averages them) has about 9” in that location.

There’s likely to be some HUGE rainfall totals and big time flooding issues from this system. This will also then flow into the San Juans in southwestern Colorado causing huge flooding concerns.

Stay safe. Turn around, don’t drown!

🚨 FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY 🚨

As of 10:20pm CT on 10/31/26, a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY is in effect for Pearl River, Mississippi!

6-10” of rain has fallen in the same location in a short amount of time as this one storm sits over the area. Water rescues are happening now. Get to higher ground ASAP in this area!

🚨 NOT AGAIN 🚨

The San Juan River in Pagosa Springs, Colorado is yet again projected to crest well into Major Flood Stage, this time 2 FEET HIGHER than a week ago.

If this river forecast comes true, it will surpass last week’s devastating flooding and come close to rivaling the record from 1911!

Large areas of along with Southwest and western and northwestern are all at risk of severe and life-threatening flash flooding over the next 48-60 hours through Monday 11/2.

🚨 Severe Weather Likely to Begin November 🚨

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a 15% slight risk for Day4 Monday (11/2) across much of , South central , and portions of north and northwest .

A large, potent upper level trough will be ejecting out of the west and into the central U.S. and combined with 60s dew points will bring together everything needed for severe weather. Damaging winds, hail, and some tornadoes will all be possible.

Storms will start Monday afternoon on the western side of the risk area and move east throughout the afternoon and evening.

We’re entering the second season for an uptick in tornadoes, and with the strong El Niño in place bringing frequent storm systems west to east, now is not the time to relax.

🚨 NOT AGAIN 🚨

The Weather Prediction Center has now issued a level 3 out of 4 Moderate Risk for excessive rainfall and flooding for Sunday November 1st into Monday the 2nd!

This is for the same areas that experienced historic and catastrophic flooding just about a week ago, and the same cities and rivers are at a high risk for another high impact rain and flooding event.

A huge influx of Pacific moisture will be flowing in from the southwest and this southwest direction will bring this moisture crashing into the San Juan Mountains in southeast and southwest . Snow will impact the highest peaks but the snow line is expected to be around 11,000 feet or so leaving a lot of real estate for heavy rain. This rain will quickly runoff into the canyons, streams, and rivers in the area.

It looks like 3-5” is very possible in areas like Durango and Pagosa Springs and that would cause flooding issues and then flow into northeast that is still recovering.

This could be VERY BAD!

🚨 Lots of RAIN for some Thursday/Friday 🚨

The key note is that an impact rain event is underway as of Thursday afternoon and could be extreme for some!

The left image is the short range HRRR and the right image is the National Blend of Models (like an average of them all). The HRRR is depicting above a foot of rain just inside the border west of Uvalde by Friday afternoon while the blended result is showing close to 4.5” of rain.

Interesting to note is that the bullseye isn’t that much different with respect to location so seems likely the highest totals are in that area. Will we see 14” of rain somewhere? I doubt it. Will we see isolated totals more than 4.5”? I suspect we will.

Watch out for flooding. Turn around, don’t drown!🚨
