A fairytale bride she was...
Alicia Herbst made such a beautiful bride. I sure hope they're off enjoying their honeymoon as much as they enjoyed their wedding day.
Now, I prefer to post in order, and, as always, I'm behind on posting so many photos. I realize I never even shared their engagement photos yet. π€¦
Good thing I know Sam Herbst and Alicia understand why I'm been behind. I'm sure they also understand why/how I like to post in order. π
They'd also understand why I simply just can't get over this one and just have to share it. π
It's mostly because I picture the photos of this set, some which actually show her beautiful face, as being a photo loved ones will view years from now marveling at what a beautiful bride she made.
Perhaps, it's also because this set of photos almost wasn't created.
You see, this was similar to a vision I mentioned checking out the space from the loft day before, but it wasn't necessarily on the shot list. I knew Alicia wanted to have a relaxed day, so I didn't want to push it. I thought many times of putting this one off knowing it may not happen.
Then, as she got in her dress in preparation for her first appearance with her crew, there was some moment I felt the excitement and anticipation for the day hit. That's when I just knew we had to take a few minutes out for a "princess spin." She looked too beautiful and the dress was too perfect for this look to skip this one.
As she spun, I instantly pictured this one as black and white, and hoped I'd remember which one it was. π€¦Sometimes, I find black and white just really conveys the emotions and ambiance by keeping the focus on what's most important. Even on the initial run through of the gallery, this popped out as the one for a black and white.
I am so thankful to Sam and Alicia for not only allowing Sarah and myself to be part of their special day, but for pushing/allowing me to push my boundaries through the process.
P.S. While I generally try to keep my posts of couples focused on the couples, I also felt the story and vision was important to share on this one in particular.
