Summer nights in downtown Frederick are hard to beat. 🎶
Had the chance to catch Learned Doctors and DJ Benefactor at Alive @ Five this week, and the energy was incredible. From the music to the crowd and everything in between, it was one of those evenings that reminds you why Frederick's local music scene is so special.

🥂 Taking a minute to celebrate some recent wins for Amy Hood Captures…
Sometimes I get so focused on the next thing .. the next shoot, next edit, next idea that I forget to stop and appreciate how far I’ve come.
So grateful for the people who cheer me on, celebrate the small milestones, and remind me to pause for the big ones too.
This sweet friend took me out to celebrate a milestone for Amy Hood Captures and it meant more than she knows. 💛
The people who believe in you, encourage you, and lift you up along the way matter so much.
Amy Hood Captures is growing… and that still feels a little surreal.

Today was my very first festival with Amy Hood Captures… and I’m still smiling 🥹🤍

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, chatted with me, complimented my work, shared encouragement, bought a print, magnet, or took home a piece of my photography. Your support means more than you know.

I sold prints, lots of magnets (which made me so happy 😂), and even a metal USA flag piece 🥹🇺🇸

Building something from the ground up is equal parts exciting and terrifying… but today reminded me why I started.

Thank you Frederick for supporting local artists and small businesses 🤍📸

Here’s to doing scary things before you feel fully ready.

DC, 1998. Nine Lives tour. I was 9 years old… and I still remember them opening with “Back in the Saddle.”
September 2, 2023 — opening night of their Peace Out tour in Philly.
And somehow, I’m standing there with a camera in my hands capturing this moment.
Full circle doesn’t even begin to cover it.
With everything that’s happened since, I’m just really grateful I got to experience this. 🤍

I spent hours editing these (Lightroom really tested my patience 😅), but this space was completely worth it.

I was honestly blown away walking through this hidden garden in downtown Frederick. It felt calm, intentional, and just… beautiful in a way that photos almost don’t do justice.

It reminded me that it’s not just about what a business sells it’s about the experience they create 💛

Frederick really is full of places like this. Have you ever been here before?
