When is your favorite time to go to the beach?

Mine is around 4pm.

There is something about the early afternoon that recharges me and grounds me.

Maybe it is the way the sun melts across the sky and makes everything golden...

Maybe it is the calmness of the early dinner rush, leaving the air free to think and clear my thoughts...

or maybe the satisfaction of a day well spent, and the moonshine approaching.

This is my favorite time to reflect.

My favorite part of photography is capturing the in-between moments.

Like when a four year old little boy wants to pick a flower for his mommy...

or when her older son wants to learn how to take a photograph of his beautiful first lady.

These are the moments that make life.

When I was a little girl, I was always amazed by Dr. Doolittle.

WOW! The power to talk to animals!! What a gift!

If you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always "a veterinarian," until I learned how much schooling would be involved. 🤣😂😆

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy learning very much, but formal isn't my style. I prefer living life and learning through experiences and interactions with others - human, canine, feline, bugs and mother earth.

One thing that I know for sure is that I have a connection to animals.

I find it fascinating to learn that they each have their own personality, just like us, and the bond that you can create with them is very special. Unconditional love.

I also find it fascinating how each of us has such a different life-span. Some live for only a few days, some for several years, and some for decades.

Make sure that you pause and reflect as you are living.

I was given permission to share some photos from this truly emotional photo shoot. I am so proud of how these turned out and that I was able to capture the vision that my best friends had.

This was their memorial tribute to their 2 rainbow babies.

We may have never met them, but they will always be part of this amazing family
