Thinking back on this past Saturday and how I had the honor of capturing something truly special.

hosted their first annual gala. An evening dedicated to raising awareness and funds to empower youth and create generational change.

Amplified Change is doing powerful work, helping children heal from trauma and build resilience through art and education, all within a safe, supportive, and inclusive space.

And the most beautiful part?
Because of that night… every student will now have access to these services completely free.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a great night ❤️ can't wait for next year.

I am still shooting.

"All the greens" was inspired by a shoot I saw on Instagram. That shoot was matcha inspired so we made this one a little different with a healthy green juice.

I love shooting with because she lets my creativity fly. She is down for whatever and my camera loves her.

I chose this song to play with it because I thought it was just a song that people use on socials until I actually listened to it. Both Michelle and I (and a lot of women) are in a space where everything is changing with out one ounce of our permission and we are just meant to navigate it. That is why this shoot was not just a shoot, it was a way for my to get into my creative bag, to give myself permission to make mistakes, to let go of someone else's vision, to put that imposter syndrome down and just CREATE.

Kennedi (Kiki) Wilson (.kennedi )is a self made entrepreneur with a passion of telling stories, eloquently putting words together in her dynamic poetry, and advocating for the Golden Mile and Frederick Creatives.

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of shooting her for this campaign that I'm starting called, Give Them Their Roses. This campaign aims to bring awareness to people's stories and showcase who they are. It also aims to celebrate women of color and giving them their praise and recognition while they are still here to receive it.

Not only does Kiki deserve a dozen roses for what she does for her community but it is also her birthday so we are celebrating her in all the ways!

September brought so many great shoots! One event that I was elated to capture was SOUL Street's FIRST ever Black Business Resource Fair! This wasn't only special to me because of me being a black, woman-owned business in Frederick, but because I am a proud board member of SOUL Street and new this was a much needed event.

The day brought out various resources to help businesses thrive and feel confident in their next steps, as well as a phenomenal keynote speaker and panel discussions that highlighted the brick and mortar process and doing better business in Frederick!

I was so happy to represent organizations, my business, and the power of the Frederick Community!
