Autumn in Colorado brings some of the most incredible wildlife spectacles you can witness. Last October, I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park during the annual elk rut and was lucky enough to capture this moment of two bulls locking horns.

The sheer power and intensity of the rut is amazing to experience firsthand, especially against that golden fall backdrop.

Finding a moment of stillness in the freeze. 🦅❄️

Spotted this beautiful bald eagle perched high up in a weathered tree back in February. The contrast against that deep blue backdrop was absolutely unreal. Nature never ceases to amaze.

Winter in Yellowstone has a quiet intensity to it. The snow softens everything, the crowds disappear, and the wildlife moves through the landscape like ghosts. I was lucky enough to watch this coyote pause for a moment in the golden grass before continuing its hunt.
Sometimes the best wildlife moments aren’t dramatic—they’re quiet, fleeting, and completely wild.

Snow falling, breath steaming, and the quiet power of a winter giant. ❄️🦬

February in Yellowstone feels like stepping into another world—where the cold sharpens the silence and wildlife moves through the snow like it’s always belonged there. Watching this bison push through a storm was one of those moments that makes you forget the frozen fingers and just take it all in.

Nature doesn’t pause for winter—it thrives in it.
