I have a new photography love & it’s not posed, it’s not prompted, & it’s definitely not perfect… but that’s what makes it so perfect. 🤍

You hang out with your family. You explore. You adventure. You do the things that bring you joy… and I just capture it the way it really is.

This session at the fair was exactly that. No worrying about everyone looking at the camera. No stressing about whether the kids are behaving. No trying to make the moment “perfect.” Just your family, having fun and doing what you love — and me there to document all of it.

Listen, if you’ve ever been concerned about your kids behaving for photos (I get it) this is the route you want to take.

Because these are the photos you’ll cherish when those babies are packing up and moving out for college. 🥹 The photos that bring you right back to how it actually felt to be together.

So I’m officially announcing Storytelling Sessions (yay!)

You can choose one of my “bucket list” shoots, OR tell me about the things your family loves to do and we’ll come up with the perfect photo-ready activity together.

Go to the fair. Pick apples. Explore a new trail. Get ice cream. Have a backyard fire. Whatever feels like your family. (Special bonus is that for now, these sessions are a little cheaper than my regular sessions to help build this side of my portfolio!)

I’ll bring my camera and capture the joy like this. 🤍

In October it will have been a year since I took on my first paid session and to date I think this was one of the most special sessions I could’ve ever done. Malorie & her family welcomed their second baby girl (Piper!! What a great name 😉). I’m so incredibly grateful to be trusted & invited in to the real, raw moments of your lives & will never take that for granted.

In just a couple of weeks, school is back in session for me! 🍎

What does that mean for you? I’ll be limiting the number of sessions I take on during the school year so I can keep a little more balance between photography, teaching, and family life.

If you’re hoping for a fall session, I’d recommend getting on the calendar now before those limited spots fill up. 🍂
