Before this session, mom told me she was a little worried. The kids were coming off a long weekend, and she wasn't sure how photos would go.

So we ran around and let the kids be kids - run, play, & explore. These are the images we created.

A gentle reminder that your children do not need to sit still or smile perfectly for beautiful family photos. In fact, I think most times I prefer they didn’t. My favorite moments happen when they're simply being themselves.

The magic is rarely found in perfection. It's found in the connection.

I just want to bottle up that feeling you get when you look at your babies & deliver it to you in some photos. What I tell parents every session: just smile through it. Seriously, all of it. If it feels like total chaos, honestly, perfect.

I think most mothers can probably agree with this, but when I was pregnant (almost 3 years ago now 😭) I always hated when people said… “just wait til… [insert something negative].

Much of it was well meaning & filled with good intentions but sometimes it felt condescending and also filled an already-worried-mind with more to worry about.

Much of what I was told to worry about I’ve already experienced and have just as quickly forgotten… but all those good things, I don’t know if I’ll ever forget. The sleepy snores, being nap-trapped, the mouth/wide-open kisses, first words, first steps… the very surprising things that come out of my toddlers mouth 😅 It has all brought me so much joy.

So if you’re a mom, a step mom, an auntie… share with this mom and all others moms to be to be all the good to come. Comment below ⬇️
