There is a quiet belief that says we should only be photographed when life feels perfect.

But some of the most meaningful images in the world were captured during struggles and from in-between seasons.

Grief, transition, rebuilding, becoming.

We all know that most of life is far from perfect. We get broken. And then (hopefully), we grow. It is in the challenging seasons that we gain depth of character - not the easy ones.

From my angle behind the lens, I love witnessing the power, strength, and drama that is revealed in the eyes of those I photograph. It’s a beautiful thing to witness. I am invigorated when I am able to help draw someone out of their own cocoon, to help hold up a mirror to the beauty I see. Let me show you who I see.

You’ve seen my outdoor work.
But the studio?

That’s where I get cinematic.

I’ve always been drawn to portraits that feel sculptural — where light shapes the mood as much as the subject itself. Using professional studio lighting gives me the precision and control to create depth, drama, texture, and atmosphere in ways natural light simply can’t.

This dark editorial session with a Lafayette freshman bodybuilder became less about documenting physique… and more about creating presence.

Moody. Intentional. Sculpted by light.

Honestly, I love creating work in this space. The combination of athleticism, artistry, and controlled studio lighting opens the door to images that feel more like campaign visuals or album covers than traditional portraits.
