A little life update.

After years behind the camera, I've stepped back from photographing elopements to build the thing I always wished couples had while they were planning theirs.

It's called Elope Atlas. A place to plan your whole elopement in one spot, the location, the permit, the timeline, the day, alongside your own vendors. Everything I used to walk couples through by hand, now in one roadmap.

These photos are my whole heart.

Every sunrise hike to a ceremony spot. Every first look where I had to remind myself to keep shooting because I was crying too. Every couple who said “we just want it to feel like us” and then trusted me to help them figure out what that meant. Every quiet moment after the vows when the world got really still and really sacred.

I have spent years of my life documenting the most important day of yours, and I do not take a single frame of it for granted. You let me into your families, your love stories, the wildest corners of the country. You taught me what an elopement actually is. Not a smaller wedding. A bigger choice.

I carry every one of you with me.

And because of you, there’s a next chapter.

Elope Atlas is live. It’s the platform I wish I could have handed every single couple who ever sent me a nervous first email asking where to even start. A location directory. Vendor matching. A full planning toolkit. Every lesson, every hard-won piece of advice, every “here’s what I’d do if I were you” from a decade in the field, built into something couples can actually use to plan themselves.

I’ll be finishing out my photography year with my 2026 couples, and pouring everything else into this.

I’ve spent almost 10 years photographing elopements all over and falling in love with every wild, beautiful location along the way. I kept thinking, why is it so hard for couples to find these places and the people who know them best?

So I built something.

Elope Atlas is live now. Couples can explore hundreds of curated locations, get real permit and logistics information, and plan their entire elopement in one place.

For vendors, you’re listed based on the specific locations and regions you serve, so couples find you because you’re the right fit for where they want to get married.

Not everyone wants a full wedding day documented. Not everyone wants eight hours of coverage or a big production.

Some couples just want a beautiful place, a meaningful ceremony, and time to actually be present with each other.

So we created something intentionally simple.

This summer we’re hosting a small number of Northwest Mini Elopement dates on the Oregon Coast and in Olympic National Park. Couples choose their date, choose their ceremony location from a curated guide, and we take care of the rest.

The kind of place that reminds you how small you are in the best way.

C + J eloped in the off season and honestly… it was magic.

The kind of day where your shoes get sandy and a little wet, your hair does whatever it wants, and you realize halfway through that you haven’t seen another person in awhile. The forest felt still. The beach felt wide open. It was just them, the waves, and that soft coastal air that makes everything slow down.

This is what I love about off season here.

If you’re okay with weather, you get:

🤍 Moodier skies that make everything feel cinematic

The greens are richer. The ocean feels dramatic. And when the wind picks up or the mist rolls in, it doesn’t ruin the day. It becomes part of it.

You just have to be willing to embrace it. Layers are your best friend. Clear umbrellas photograph beautifully. And honestly, some of the most intimate vows I’ve ever witnessed have happened with rain in the forecast.

C + J had the kind of day that felt like the coast was theirs alone.

Q + M planned two days on the Oregon coast and truly got the full experience.

Day one at McMenamins in Gearhart was calm and beautiful, especially for winter. Soft light, quiet moments, everyone tucked in close. It felt intimate and grounded. A really peaceful way to begin their weekend.

Day two at the shipwreck was the opposite. Sideways rain. Heavy wind. So cold we could barely feel our hands. 🥶 The ocean was loud, the sky was dramatic, and they just held onto each other and kept going.

If you’re planning a coastal wedding, here are a few things I always tell my couples:

🤍 Bring real layers. Not just cute ones. Thermals under your dress or suit make a huge difference.
🤍 Have a neutral coat or wrap you genuinely love in photos.
🤍 Waterproof boots you can walk in. You can always change later.
🤍 Clear umbrellas. I always bring some, but extras help.
🤍 Plan buffer time. Wind and rain slow everything down.
🤍 Mentally prepare to lean in. Especially in winter.

Oregon coast dates are open and I would love to document more weekends like this. Calm skies or sideways rain, I’m in. 🥰

Most couples come to me excited about eloping… and completely unsure how the day is actually supposed to work.

That’s normal.

There’s no venue coordinator. No preset timeline. No one telling you where to go, when to be there, how long things take, or what happens if the weather shifts.

That’s where I come in.

I don’t just photograph elopements. I help couples choose locations, build timelines, navigate permits, plan for guests, and make decisions so they don’t have to figure this out alone.

By the time their day arrives, they’re not wondering what comes next. They already know. They just get to show up, breathe, and be present.
