This page always shows whatever I've been shooting lately. For more complete galleries of my work, visit my website at www.bgphillipsphotography.com

Although this page has photos that span several decades, the emphasis is on whatever I've shot most recently. My subjects include people, pets, sports, and nature. Lately I've been shooting a lot of musicians, from local bands to well known names. Please take a moment to scroll through the timeline and feel free to comment on whatever strikes your fancy. If you like what you see, please give my page a "like" also. I have one request while you're visiting; put away your cell phone and view these images on a proper computer monitor when you can. Oh, and if you can "like" my page that would be appreciated. You can also view more of my photos at www.bgphillipsphotography.com where you'll find a link to contact me directly. Of course you can also message me here through Facebook.

Some of my spookier shots from last month's trip to England. Have a safe and fun Halloween, everybody!

Finally getting back to processing some of my photos from our England trip last month. My wife and I spent a week in London, then the next stop was the beautiful town of Canterbury, famous for Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales. I have never read it and looked at a copy in a bookstore while I was there. Too much poetry for me, so I didn't buy it. Our hotel was a stone's throw from the famous cathedral, claimed to be the first one in England. Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered in the cathedral in 1170 by some guys trying to curry favour with King Henry II whom he had some disagreements with. His body remains entombed there and the cathedral has become sort of a pilgrimage destination for some who claim to receive miracles upon visiting. I didn't experience any myself, but then I wasn't looking for any. There are captions under some of the photos here. These were all taken while walking around the cathedral and the surrounding grounds. I'll have some photos of the town coming next.

Photos of the October 11 Sacramento Cyclocross races in Orangevale are now on my website. Over 1200 of them made the final cut. You're going to want to view these on a computer screen rather than a cell phone, trust me. But if all you have is that little communication device in your hand, then it will work. Sort of. But good luck scrolling through 1200 photos on that little screen. They are all in chronological order, so I hope that helps. If you'd like to help a photographer out and encourage my attendance at future events, then purchases of prints, digital downloads, or other goodies are very much appreciated. Otherwise, you're welcome to just browse the gallery as the photos there will display in a better resolution that what is on Facebook. The watermarks that you see on the images here and on the website do not appear on any purchased photos.

Still working my way through the post-processing for the photos from Sunday's Sacramento Cyclocross races in Orangevale. Here are a few more. If you missed them, I have a couple of other posts over the last few days with more pics. Feel free to like, comment, tag, and share! When I get them all finished, I'll post them on my website like I did for the last two races last year, if you'd like to purchase any high-rez downloads or prints.

Who needs a carbon fiber disc brake bike with ultra wide tires when you have a Ritchey Swiss Cross?

Here's another sampling of some of my photos from yesterday's Sacramento Cyclocross event in Orangevale. I took over 2500 shots and am still working through the editing process. Once I'm satisfied with the results, I'll post a couple hundred or so of the better onces on my website if you'd like to help support a local photographer by purchasing any prints or high resolution downloads (without the watermark in the lower right). Meanwhile, feel free to like, comment, tag, and share!
