Hey all! Just finished the edits from the Amateur Michigan NSTRA Trial! It was a great time learning about a new activity to do with the Echo monster!

If anyone has a big running dog or a methodical hunting dog, I highly encourage you to reach out to the Local Michigan NSTRA chapter! They did an awesome job taking us through every part of the test and are more than willing to walk along and give tips along with answer any questions as you go!

Bit of honesty, coming out of the NAVHDA test I was a little disheartened that Echo and I were out of sync. I had to woah her from 60 yards away at every bird contact because I could read she was going to take out the birds.

With the help of Mike and Molly; Echo and I were able to buckle in and train for the 4 days coming up to the UKC test.

It wasn't till the very last day we were training that we uncovered what helps her steadiness! We had to run the devil out of her before the test!

Day of the test we shot over to sod and I ran her as much as I could before we were starting to gather for the start of the 1st run.

When it came time for our run, Kelly offered to grab the camera and follow us for our run on both days and captured these photos!

Echo held point until the shot every bird contact for both days! Through me falling up hill, to calling her off a bird that flew into thick thorny bushes. And even when she sight pointed one right on the path.

We ended the day with two EXC GUN passes and with now excitement for the following week's Chukar Challenge!

Hey all, Last weekend we got to follow some awesome dogs at the Korthals Griffon Great Lakes Cup. It was great to watch so many great dogs work. Thank you Judges, Volunteers, and handlers for making this such a fun event to follow. I wish I could have followed more dogs for the weekend!
