One of the best parts of being a photographer isn't just taking the photos, it's delivering a gallery and getting THAT message back (you know what Iโ€™m talking about!)

The tears over a family photo they never thought they'd have. The senior who suddenly sees how confident and amazing they truly are. The couple who can't stop saying, "These are SO us!". The mom who finalllllly gets to see herself in the memories instead of always being behind the camera.

Those reactions NEVERRRR get old! They remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place ๐Ÿ’•

One of the questions I get asked most often is, "What exactly do you edit?"

The truth is, every image goes through a process before it's delivered to you.

โœจ BEFORE: The image straight out of camera.

โœจ MIDDLE: masking, adjustments to lighting, color, contrast, and overall consistency.

โœจ AFTER: A finished image that reflects my style while keeping your memories authentic and timeless.

Editing isn't about changing who you are- it's about enhancing the photo so the moment feels just as special as it did when it was captured.

Now Iโ€™m stuck wonderingโ€ฆ do I take the chance and get them developed?

Part of me thinks theyโ€™re probably blank, but the other part is imagining forgotten family memories, random vacations, or maybe just some cringe Staci selfies from middle school. ๐Ÿฅน

Okay okayโ€ฆ I have to give a shoutout to one of my favorite couples. ๐Ÿ’•

I started working with Micki & Tony about 3 years ago when they opened Mini Mitten Acres, and what started as a business connection quickly turned into so much more. Over the years, weโ€™ve teamed up for countless collaborations, mini sessions on the farm, Christmas events, and so many special memories in between.

Through it all, weโ€™ve built an incredible friendship that Iโ€™m beyond grateful for. To say Iโ€™ll miss working with them (and the farm) is a huge understatement. Watching their little dream grow into something so loved by the community has been amazing, and I couldnโ€™t be more proud of everything theyโ€™ve accomplished in such a short time.

When I became a photographer, I didnโ€™t realize Iโ€™d be wearing so many different hats. ๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ“ธ

I thought Iโ€™d just show up, take beautiful photos, and send them off.

What I didnโ€™t realize was that Iโ€™d also become a:
โœจ Small business owner
โœจ Marketer
โœจ Social media manager
โœจ Accountant
โœจ Customer service representative
โœจ Location scout
โœจ Editor
โœจ Website manager
โœจ Problem solver
โœจ Hype girl
โœจ And occasionally a professional child wrangler ๐Ÿคฃ

Behind every gallery is hours of work that most people never see, but I wouldnโ€™t trade it for anything. Getting to capture milestones, preserve memories, and tell your stories is still the best part of what I do.
