Effective immediately, I will no longer publicly post identifiable images of minors from my photography sessions—even with parental permission. You will see an update in my contract as well as the removal of all previous sessions from my business pages.

The recent Seventh Circuit ruling involving entirely AI-generated CSAM does not make the misuse of real children’s photos legal. But it highlights an uncomfortable reality: AI is evolving faster than the laws meant to protect our children.

I’m a photographer, but I’m a mother first.

Once I put a child’s photo online, I cannot control who saves it or what technology allows someone to do with it. I can control what I choose to put there.

Parents will still receive their complete galleries and can choose what they share. I simply will not use identifiable images of children to market my business moving forward.

Children’s safety will always matter more to me than content, engagement or advertising.

Their childhood is mine to document—not mine to put at risk. 🤍
