It’s a beautiful thing to experience the way life weaves paths of people together over time. We first met Chef Jason Paul more than a decade ago while working on a project for Downtown Rogers. He was calm, cool, and collected as they say, but the thing that made the biggest impression on us was that you could really feel that he LOVES being a culinary creative. Our paths continued to cross over the years usually while Chef was cheffing and we were capturing some event (shout out to the OG Fayetteville Roots Fest). When the new Heirloom opened up we knew that Chef and Danielle were going to take people on an outright journey.
“My first heirloom experience was so insane. Watching the team whip up all kinds of crazy delicious dishes while Chef nodded his head to the “Money Trees” by Kendrick Lamar showed me a side of the culinary world I hadn’t experienced before or honestly since then.” -
We really wanted to capture that experience on this project. The feelings that Heirloom leaves you with. The unfiltered authenticity of self culminated right there on a dish for you to enjoy while your brain wanders the sweet melodies of a curated playlist.
We are incredibly grateful to work with people like Chef, Danielle, the amazing team at Heirloom and Pinky Swear, and all the people who helped behind the camera on this project.
Cheers to art of all forms 🥂
A special thanks to , and Dr. Skinner of the University of Arkansas physics department for letting us have fun with the Chladni Plate.
