✨ FALL & CHRISTMAS MINIS✨

I don’t offer too many mini sessions these days, as I much prefer full sessions - where we can really hangout & get all of the little details… BUT, I also know that sometimes you don’t need the whole shebang. 🤪

Sometimes you just want a few beautiful photos of your family while the leaves are showing off or while the Christmas lights are twinkling. 🫶 AND maybe your kids only have 15 min of cooperation & we should ALL respect that. 🤣

AHHH, I feel so relieved to be sitting at MY desk & finally being able to write this.🙂‍↔️
If you’ve spent even 5 minutes talking to me, there’s a 99% chance you know I have a plethora of siblings & that my world basically revolves around them. Built in besties, y’know. 💛
When I first started this business, it was called The Sunny Studios - named after one of my little sisters, Sunny. She’s spent practically her entire life being dressed, posed, bribed, prodded & photographed by me. She was my muse long before I ever called myself a photographer.
About a month ago, Sunny had surgery. A little over a week into recovery, she became incredibly sick & we learned she had blood clots blocking major veins around her liver & intestines. Apparently, their placement was pretty rare! Subtle foreshadowing… wish we’d known. 😅
They couldn’t access the original clots & then it felt like every few days brought more bad news. Another clot. Another complication. Another part of her body affected.
Eventually, she was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder AND we discovered she was having a rare adverse reaction to heparin - the medication meant to stop the clotting was actually triggering her body to form more clots. Chances of this?! About 1%. 🙃
After being transferred from hospital to hospital, doctors ultimately went in through her jugular to reach the original clots & removed more than three dozen during that procedure + put a stent in.
After 3 weeks, 3 hospitals, countless blood draws, transfusions & scary moments, I’m SO happy to say she finally came home last night. ☺️🤞🏻🫶
Soo sorry if I’ve been absent, slow to answer emails or a little scattered lately - my attention has been with Sunny. Thank you for giving me grace even when you didn’t know I needed it!
BIG THANKS to our Mom, who switched out with me so I could come back to NWA to shoot my weekend sessions, & my friends who took care of my dogs every day while we were gone. I love you guys endlessly.
Anyway, enjoy a few photos I’ve taken of my first muse throughout the years. 🥹🤪

Your engagement session can look however you want it to look, & sometimes that means putting your favorite socks on, having a glass of wine, playing some scrabble, & dancing around your living room. 🤭

Myah & Tony invited me into their stunningly cozy home & introduced their GORGEOUS cats (each one had a totally different personality!!) & I feel so honored to have clients treat me with such kindness. In a world of chatgbt & grey countertops, it’s so refreshing to sit and chat with people, see their colorful home with quilts made by moms, carefully placed photos, and a table made to stand the test of time. It’s such a magical thing to be inspired by the people around me and by my own artwork.

And Idk why I feel the need to make every post a sappy story, but just know that I care a lot. 🤪🤎

Merika + Dustin brought all the energy & I was fan girling in real time. They are CLEARLY so in love with each other, which makes capturing them so much fun. I can’t wait to do it again 🤓😉
