Good evening, if you wanted to sign up to show your collection (something you collect or your hobby - like leaves, sticks, seashells, cards, cars, stamps - the possibilties are endless) please send me an email at [email protected]. We have just a few spots left. They will be first come first serve.

Pre-registration for this section is recommended and preferred but not required. Drop off day for the Washington County Fair is Saturday, August 16th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the youth exhibit building. Please email if you have any questions.

All spots have been filled for hobbies and collectibles and for table settings. I will be reaching out to everyone to confirm you have a spot and what size space you need for the hobbies and collectibles. The goal is to have this information to you by email by July 30th. Please respond as soon as you can (after you receive it) so we can confirm that we have plenty of spaces for the hobbies.

Please check your junk mail if you have not received your mail exhibitor numbers. I have responded to everyone that registered before July 10th. Will respond to new entries tonight.

If you have registered to enter items in the youth exhibit building; you should have your exhibitor numbers now.

Next is letting the people that registered for a Hobbies and Collectibles spot or a table setting know whether or not their spot has been reserved but it will probably be the weekend before that is confirmed. Those that need to know right away can reach out to me by email.

Thanks!

It's almost time for the Washington County Fair. Pre-registration is open now until drop off day but we prefer to have registrations in by August 1st. As always, you are not required to pre-register but it sure makes things easier. Link for pre-registration is on the MyWashCoFair home page and will be available in the comments below. Please reach out with any questions for youth arts and crafts and home economics.

Check out the fairbook for registration and deadlines for other parts of the fair. I believe livestock entries are due by July 15th this year.

Plans are already underway for the 2025 Washington County Fair but before we get too far along, we want to take a few minutes to thank our exhibitors who submitted 3,479 items and were awarded over $11,000 for their efforts. We need to thank the parents and grandparents for all their hard work to ensure all items were tagged and had a ride to the fair. In addition to the parents and exhibitors, we need to thank our volunteers who put in countless hours, starting with cleanup prior to the fair: some of them checked in crafts, helped with judging, attached ribbons and recorded scores right up into the night. When all those tasks were completed, it was time to sort and display all the entries. This process took many additional hours.

We met with several complaints because we don’t allow pick up until 2 PM on Sunday and we understand this is a nuisance for many of you who are already at the fairgrounds for some other reason, however before 2 PM, we don’t know where all of your items are.

Let me tell you a little about our process, at 9 p.m. Saturday night (or right after the bull riding finishes up), we start gathering items in each section and putting them in order by exhibitor number. We check off every item that was entered and make sure we have everything before adding it to a box, bag or tote. This year it took us until around 3 AM and by 9 o’clock the next morning we were back at it merging items from each division together to make the process easier for you to pick up without things getting left behind. At one point we thought we wouldn’t be done by 2 o’clock but it all came together around 1:30 p.m. We had everything ready to go and received many comments and compliments about how smooth the pick up process went. I don’t think anyone waited over a couple minutes and we kept the lines moving.
