🥹 Prairie Dogs in the Park 🥹

Never in my life had I seen a Prairie Dog until I moved to New Mexico!! I had also never seen a road runner other then in the cartoon, but, uh, they are really quick and I didn’t get a photo😅🤣

These little ones were being fed so I had a great opportunity to get pretty close to them! They ran around the lot for a good while and they were really interesting to watch over.

🏁 Cinco de Mayo Car Show 🏎️

📍: Northern Edge Casino

Over the weekend the casino hosted a car show and lemme just say, WOW. I’ve always been a bike girl (thanks dad) but cars have always interested me! Don’t ask me about make, model, or anything about the cars - but I’ll be happy to tell you about “the pink one” or that “I know that’s a mustang! And look at the yellow!” If you only had audio of me walking around the event, you’d assume I was a teenage girl who doesn’t even know how to put a spare on (I do, thanks again dad!) 😅

I’ve been extremely blessed to be able to attend events around town, meet new people, and experience a lot of culture recently! I’m grateful to capture these moments with my lens 🥰🫶🏼

🛞 Lowrider Culture 🛞

Today we stopped at the Farmington Museum and got to see the Lowrider Culture exhibition at the Park & Chill - of course I had to grab a few photos! “Lowrider Culture in the United States is a Smithsonian traveling exhibition that explores the artistic expression, the history, and the community of lowriding in America. The Farmington Museum will host this traveling exhibition from April 25 to July 25, 2026.”

🧘‍♀️ Yoga for Charity 🙏

Today I got the pleasure to work with the Studio 116 gals to grab photos of the charity event they were helping host. What were they raising funds for? WATER💦 Aveda raises money every Earth Month, and they have impacted over 160,000 people and raised over $7.4 Million, contributing to over 7,000 projects in developing countries.

Did you know that in developing countries around the world, people walk an average of 3.7 miles every day to collect water? Often times with a large bowl on their heads? If you couldn’t be here today, there’s an opportunity to make a difference still. On Sunday, April 26, we will be raising awareness and funds to help bring clean water to people in need in India, Nepal, Madagascar, and Ethiopia by meeting with Studio 116 and I at Orchard Park at 9am! See you there!

🏠 You’ll always be my home, my heart 🤍

📍: Altoona, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and surrounding Wisconsin🧀

I’ve been feeling ever so homesick. Wisconsin has been home for most of my last 30 years and I miss it so much. Not everything, not the snow 😅 but I miss the community, the nature, family and friends, and the familiarity of it all. Though I love being in Farmington for most of the same reasons, leaving what I’ve known for so long has had it’s moments where it makes me miss the place I once called home.

As I have been combing through my prints trying to set up my presence in town, I’m overwhelmed as I am seeing the last 6 years flash before my eyes. All the amazing things I’ve seen and done, all the stellar people I’ve met - some even becoming life long friends, and just how far I’ve come in this journey. It’s bitter sweet, really, but that’s a part of evolving, isn’t it? Sorry to get in my feels on the feed, just love where I come from 🤍

🫶🏼 Family is everything, memories are priceless 🫶🏼

I realize I never posted these photos of this gorgeous family! But what a time to pull them out, right?! I’ve had the honor of photographing Alyssa and her family through the last 5 years & It’s never a dull moment with this bunch around! We have one shy pr***en, one goofy but camera shy twin, a photogenic and bubbly twin, a crazy silly dad (but we love him), and a mother enjoying every moment unfold!

The Sorenson family have been friends longer than they were ever clients (I mean we went riding on the side-by-side after these were taken) and that holds a heavy spot in my heart. They believed in my me and have supported this endeavor from my first year behind the lens! I can’t wait to see them soon and photograph them in the future 🫶🏼
