Photographers secretly love compliments 😉

The best compliment you can give your photographer isn’t just saying you love your photos though.

It’s trusting them with every season of your story.
It’s remembering their favourite snack or beverage.
Recommending them to the people you love.
Letting them photograph the real you, not only the perfectly posed version.
Showing up with the kids already bribed.
Trusting them with the moments you didn’t realize were worth remembering.
It’s giving them the freedom to follow their vision, even when you’re convinced you’re not photogenic.
Ignoring the people watching in a public space.
Letting them third-wheel your relationship for another year.

And maybe the greatest compliment of all? Letting them become your family’s unofficial historian.

Photographs are about more than how you look. M They’re about trust, connection, and preserving the story you’re living right now 🤍
