Here's a panoramic shot, stitched together from nine drone images, that I captured last week near Natchez, MS. I may have actually been over in Vidalia, LA at the time, but either way, that's the Mighty Mississippi River at the bottom and a mighty big anvil-headed thunderstorm towering above it. The storm wasn't severe, but it was certainly photogenic.

I captured this incredible sunset with my drone last week. This is the bridge spanning the Mississippi River between Natchez, MS and (pictured) Vidalia, LA.

Let's take a moment and slow things down.

Last week near Natchez, Mississippi (or Vidalia, LA, if you will), I captured this towboat steadily pushing its line of barges upriver along the mighty Mississippi River. There was no hurry, no race against the clock, just the rhythm of river commerce moving one mile at a time.

In the distance, towering thunderstorm clouds marched across the horizon, putting on a show that looked far more threatening than it actually was. There was no severe threat with this storm. The dark sky, rolling clouds, and powerful river reminded me that nature provides the best backdrop.

Sometimes the most impressive scenes aren't the loudest ones.

Drone being used in a hot air balloon rescue in east Texas. The occupied hot air balloon crashed into a tower and left two people stranded for hours. Good job getting a drone deployed and making the grab!!
