Every year, I try to do at least one model call…
not for bookings.
not for content.
but for me.
As a reminder that sometimes, creating something for the joy of it is reason enough.
Because sometimes I forget what it feels like to create without the pressure. To chase light without a plan.
To just play, without worrying whether or not what I create is “good enough.”
Before Jackie + Peter’s session, I sent them a message that said:
“Some of the most magical parts of who we are live in the childlike versions of ourselves. Life tends to bury that side of us. But when you throw the pressure to be this well-rounded adult aside, even for a moment, that’s where the magic lives.”
That’s EXACTLY what I wanted this session to be. A love letter to the child we all still carry inside.
The one who used to run barefoot through waves.
The one who didn’t overthink joy.
The one who loved out loud, without hesitation or fear of being too much.
During their session, somewhere between the waves and their laughter… I remembered that creativity isn’t about control. It’s about freedom.
And maybe that’s the secret… to art, to love, to life.
To stop trying so hard to get it “right”, and instead, allow yourself be a little messy, a little wild, and completely unposed again.
Because that’s where the story really lives. In the in-between, unposed moments that remind us we’re alive.

To Jackie + Peter, THANK YOU. Thank you for your trust, for giving me space to create, for embracing this concept of mine fully with me, and for allowing me into this season of your life together. I appreciate you both more than you could possibly ever know. I’m so beyond grateful🥺🤍
