Had a pretty slow day at work, so decided to do some graphic design! I made this logo for , a wonderful rehabilitation center and rescue for animals like foxes and coyotes.
They are currently doing a logo art contest! I know a lot of you are WAY better artists than me and you should totally go submit one! Details can be found on their FB page.

Today, and I are covering the decision to demolish the Dairy Drive Homeless Camp.
At such a turbulent time for so many people financially, and with a good friend in Milwaukee also facing imminent homelessness, I probably don’t need to express my feelings bluntly.

I am so angry. Literally seeing red (thus the tone of the picture)
So I’m at work, and I have national news on the background. We try to keep news on the background at the station to see what other stations are doing and keep up with current trends, as well as watch our own casts for quality control. I normally have it muted, but had the sound on today for some reason.
I wish I hadn’t.
The national news station (I won’t say which one, though you can probably find it on your own) was doing a teaser on updates for the Minneapolis shooting, in which they said that (to the closest of my quoting abilities), “people are questioning if transgender people should be banned from owning guns.”
Not crazy Qanon people. Not people who have made National terroristic threats. Not even the rioters from January 6th.
Transgender people.
I want to scream. I want to throw things. But I can’t. Not only because I’m at work but it would possibly give credibility to their argument about unstable trans folks.
I just needed to vent.
I’m glad the rest of my day is pretty positive. I have my first in-person class of the semester today.
Please, if you haven’t planned something already, go out and do something joyful today.
