They say after the rain comes the light, and that’s exactly what I think of when I think about Hayley’s final senior session.

After a few reschedules thanks to Virginia weather, this particular evening brought even more rain… and rain… and more rain. But just in time, the clouds cleared and gave us the most beautiful golden evening — completely worth the wait.

Hayley, when I look at these pictures, it's hard for me to look at the beautiful young woman you've become. My mind still takes me back to our very first photo shoot together, running around the flower farm when you were only two. Your s***k and smile haven't changed a bit, and I truly can’t believe we’re already closing this chapter. As bittersweet as it feels, I know this is only the beginning of an incredible future ahead.

It was such an honor to have her on my senior rep team. Hayley was always willing to help with anything and gave me a leaning shoulder several times, and the same can be said for her Mom and Nana. Their support and kindness never went unnoticed.

After graduation, Hayley will attend Radford University Carilion to pursue nursing, and I have no doubt she will do amazing things. 🤍

Maisen truly brought the vision to life for her senior sessions this year. From the homemade book wall, to a peaceful canoe on the water, to the elegance of Seclusion, and even a random field with a thrifted chair and leftover flowers from mini sessions … every setup was uniquely her. Needless to say, narrowing down favorites has been nearly impossible.

Maisen has been such a special part of my 2026 senior rep team—always showing up, always willing to help, and always bringing joy to every session and event. From dressing up as Miss Cottontail for BWP, to being Santa's helper for our Magic with Santa Sessions, to working behind the scenes wherever needed, she’s poured so much of her heart into this experience.

It feels surreal thinking about the little girl I first photographed as a toddler now stepping into her next chapter. Watching her grow and capturing so many milestones along the way has been such an honor, and the bond we’ve built means more than I can put into words.

Next stop: JMU 💜 GO DUKES!!

While I’ll miss seeing her so often, I’m comforted knowing she’s not too far away. I can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for you, Maisen!

While we did capture Aiden and Grayden individually for their senior portraits, you know we had to capture them together as well.

The duo was part of the Rockbridge County Bass Fishing Team at RCHS. Last year, they took 1st place with a winning weight of 5 fish, 12.48 lbs, and big fish of 3.02 lbs over 5 other teams at Buggs Island (John H. Reservoir). This was the first state championship for student anglers at Rockbridge.

If you saw Aiden’s post, you knew Grayden wasn’t far behind him. It was a no-brainer to bring these two together for their session—sharing so many of the same interests made it all come naturally.

Grayden has been such a valued part of my senior rep team this year, and getting to capture this season of his life has truly been an honor. His strong work ethic is something that will take him far beyond graduation, and there’s no doubt he has a bright future ahead.

Beyond that, he is genuinely one of the kindest, sweetest young men I’ve had the privilege of meeting. The kind of person who leaves a lasting impression without even trying. I often find myself wanting to tell his parents what an incredible job they’ve done raising such a fine young man.

Grayden, I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

Aiden's last session of the year was one that felt like him - the woods and the lake! Our goal was to capture his love for fishing and hunting, and I love how these turned out. Aiden has been a huge part of my senior rep team this year, and getting to watch his journey has been nothing short of special.

His next chapter begins this fall at Southern Virginia University, where he will play football and lacrosse for The Knights!

So proud of you, Aiden - your future is just getting started!
