Off to the woods. I usually edit on the warmer side when I do produce images in color, so I tried to play and do something different on the cooler side and I like!

The main reason for me to come to .workshop was to get outside of my comfort zone of my portrait community and explore a different industry of wedding photography (in my mood) bc I knew I wouldn't know anyone here AND the featured instrcutors were ones I've followed and admired for some time. Plus, it gets me out of my comfort studio, I get to work with couples, explore artistic techniques, and continue to shoot video. This was a fresh air week! And I'll continue sharing bits of it as posts come.

More Felicia. When I tell you this woman is deeply respected, resilient, supportive, loving, ambitious, and a dancing machine in the kitchen. Yes, she's a photographer, but she's also a breast cancer survivor and a certified mindset coach under . This mini session was about her journey of loving her body and all the changes it went through cancer and multi-major surgeries. Also, she expressed how normally she doesn't like closeup portraits of herself like this so this was a trusting relationship we had and created beautiful expressive portraits!

Flip through and also check out her coaching for photographers! You'll see how she maximized the imagery for her marketing pieces and I absolutely applaud her for it. That's how it's done! We did just that and started off with the professional sets and then also shot portraits that a bit more expressive and creative than the norm, to compliment her artist side. Happy Birthday to ! A gem of a human and friend whose worked so hard doing what he loves and deeply believes in. Being able to start our portrait journey around the same time and meeting eachother at a 2017 workshop, has me in major appreciation and awe at how much we've grown since then - especially David! Shot this little set during a creative hang at my last LA visit at his gorgeous . Sometimes you just have to let loose, create and try different things ⭐️

A moment in the wind. Brought to you by Winnie, the wind machine - my best pal in all my shoots. 😆 seriously though, this shot is always a fan favorite (see what I did there lol).

Maternity Portraits are usually best captured between 28-36 weeks and also depends on each person, on how filled out they wish to be photographed. Best bet is to reach out to your favorite photographer right around the start of your second trimester, because your photographer is most likely also booked out in advance and you get to secure your date and then just look forward to it. 🖤

I'm personally already have clients booking their maternity shoot in August and September that I'm so excited for. I'm Tina Leu, a photographer, mentor, and corporate survivor. I help business owners break down and organize their systems as much as I love to help people build up their confidence and be themselves in front of my camera.

This is probably the most succinct of a description of who I am, what I do and who I help, that I've been able to put into words in a long time. No fluff or fancy words, just right down to it. recently spoke on business confidence and having clarity in what you do. She challenged us to write our identity into those 3 buckets.

Thinking through it and seeing what was relevant, I realized my corporate management background has contributed so so much to my business acumen, and I've taken it for granted. 7.5 years ago, I was laid off and I decided to NOT apply to work within the same industry, and instead took the leap of faith to start my photography business. HALLELUJAH! I don't think I would have done that if my team didn't get cut.

Organization is my jam, I love workflows and systems, and communicating things clearly and thoroughly. My clients are the benefactors of this seamless process so they can focus on showing up, not being confused, and trust me to create an experience where they feel confident, free, and in love with their portraits. And this is what I love to help other business owners with and do with my coaching offerings, specifically within .

My current thoughts: cold as f*ck outside, wrapped up inside.

In fact, I want to hibernate like a bear right now. It was 75° weather last week (totally false Spring) and now it feels like 29°.

How's everyone else feeling these days? 🖐 sluggish and tired over here 😅 BUUUT! I've got an exciting April coming up full of awesome shoots with a bunch of repeat clients actually, now that I think about it. 2 more spots left if you're looking to celebrate yourself with a killer pick-me-up shoot!
