Katie Kay Photography Iā€™m a natural light photographer. Portraits and adventure photography are my main focus, but I als I try showing the world how I see it through my own eyes.

Photography is one of my greatest passions, and I love photographing all types of subjects. There is beauty and photographic opportunities in everything around us. Full session: 45 minutes-1 hour for $250

Two of the most wonderful people I know. John and I became friends 7 or 8? years ago after we started talking on Instagram because we both love Chevys. Go figure šŸ˜‚ When John met Kamie, and would talk to me about her, I knew she was the one early on. And I was right. Who knew that all these years later John would become one of my very best friends, and now Kamie too, and that I would have the honor, and privilege to photograph their wedding day. I seem to lean more towards a dark and moody feeling while I edit my photos. There's an intensity there that I can't seem to pull away from, but I often wonder if my photos are too dark to notice the details, or if the overall impact of an image is diminished by my propensity for drama. Thoughts?

The final design for the 2020 Pacific Northwest Landscapes Calendar! šŸ˜ƒ They are $25 plus tax & shipping. Please message me your email, and street address so that I can calculate shipping costs, and send invoices. I am posting a Mt. View Belgians calendar of our horses as well! When you message me, please specify which calendar you want, horse or landscape, as well as quantity. I will be placing the first round of orders on November 8th, so payment will be due by November 7th. If anyone misses the first round, or would like to purchase another calendar, I will be placing the second round of orders on November 22nd, so payment will be due by November 21st! All day I felt like absolute crud with no energy to do much of anything. In the evening when it was time for night chores, I felt a little better, and brought my camera outside with me to get the last light on Mt. Baker. Mike walked down to the road to see what I was doing, and the dust he made while he walked made for some beautiful shots. I call these "Magic Mike" šŸ˜‰

John, I am so truly grateful to call you one of my best friends, and I am unbelievably happy that you have found the woman of your dreams. From the first time you talked about Kamie, I could tell she was the one, and when I met her for the first time, I instantly liked her, and could tell that you two were meant for one another. Life can pass us by so quickly, and become such a blur, but photographs can help take us back to some of our most happy times, and special moments. So many people tell me that they hate having photos taken of them, and avoid it at all costs, but what will they have to look back on one day? Do it for your kids so they have something to remember you by.
