To my wonderful clients,

I wanted to take a moment to share an update with all of you.

After nearly 9 months of countless appointments, tests, 12 doctors and specialists, hospital visits, and more questions than answers, I have finally received a diagnosis: Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) with functional seizures.

While I am incredibly grateful to finally have a name for what has been happening, this diagnosis doesn’t mean my journey is over. FND is a neurological condition that affects how the brain and body communicate. It can cause very real symptoms including weakness, paralysis, tremors, extreme pain, vision loss and changes, memory and cognitive difficulties, speech and swallowing difficulties, fatigue similar to narcolepsy, and many different types of seizures, even though traditional scans often appear normal.

Many of you have already seen pieces of this journey. You’ve watched me push through sessions, reschedule appointments, take longer than usual to edit, or simply disappear for a while as I tried to figure out what was happening. Thank you for the kindness, patience, and grace you’ve shown me during one of the hardest seasons of my life. This has been a lot to process and very scary for me and my family.

Photography has never just been my job. It is part of who I am. Creating beautiful memories for your families has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I have no intention of giving that up. My path may look a little different now, and I may need to work at a slower pace or make adjustments when my symptoms flare, but my heart for my clients has never changed.

I ask for your continued patience and understanding as I learn how to navigate life with this diagnosis and find treatments that help me regain as much independence as possible.

This has been extremely difficult grieving the life I had and the person I once was. I’m on a new journey of accepting and learning who I am now. We’ve had to make a lot of adjustments and are still learning and adapting to a new way living and navigating this condition.

I know this has frustrated a handful of clients and that I’ve lost a few followers because of my new limitations, and as much as I hate it and it breaks my heart, I’m still learning how to deal with an unpredictable neurological condition.

Most of all, I want to say thank you. Thank you to those that continue to support me. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every check-in, every encouraging word, and every bit of support you’ve given my family. It has carried us through days that felt impossible.

I am hopeful. I am determined. And I’m believing that this diagnosis is not the end of my story, but simply the beginning of learning how to write a new chapter.

With love,

The new Hannah 🫶🏻

Hi friends,

I’ve gone back and forth on whether to share this, but I believe in being honest with the people who have supported my family and my business for so many years.

Many of you already know that I’ve been struggling with some health issues since last fall.

Over the past several months, I’ve seen countless doctors, undergone testing, and spent more time in waiting rooms than I ever imagined.

While we still don’t have clear answers, it appears that I’m dealing with a complex neurological or autoimmune condition that has significantly affected my daily life.

This journey has been challenging in ways I never expected.

Some days are good, and some days are much harder. There are moments when symptoms affect my vision, memory, strength, coordination, and energy, making even simple tasks more difficult than they once were.

As someone who pours her whole heart into every session and every image I deliver, it’s been incredibly hard to accept that I can’t always work at the pace I’m used to. My clients deserve my very best, and that’s something I will never compromise on.

Because of this, I’ll be taking on a slightly smaller workload for the time being and giving myself a little extra grace as I continue navigating appointments, testing, and treatment.

Please know that I am still here, still photographing, still creating, and still committed to serving each family who trusts me with their memories.

More than anything, I want to say thank you.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your kind messages, your flexibility, and your prayers. The love and support I’ve received during this season has humbled me more than I can put into words.

This year has been one of the hardest my family has ever faced.

At times it has felt like one storm rolled in before the last one had a chance to pass. But even in the middle of the uncertainty, I’ve seen so much kindness, so much grace, and so many reminders that we’re not walking through it alone.

I don’t know exactly what the road ahead looks like, but I do know this: I’m not giving up. I’m going to keep fighting.

Thank you for supporting me, praying for me, and for standing beside me while I find my footing again.

With love,

Hannah

When mom says she wants a Highland Cow theme, but make it cute... Hold my Cactus!

A lot of times I get overlooked for smash cake sessions because people think all I do is Newborn sessions anymore, but I actually still design custom sets that are inspired by your ideas, and brought to life with my creative know how.

I can design something with your ideas for your little one too!

NOTE: No mini Moomoo's were harmed during this session, but the cake was lol.... All cacti were artificial... Annnnnd Mom was holding him on the cow the whole time and I just edited her arms out lol.

Some of the best big sisters I have ever been blessed enough to work with. The whole family is a delight, but all 3 of these girls now have a special place in my heart and an open invitation to my studio.
