I realize it’s been awhile since introduced myself on here!😍

I'm Kate Snodgrass! Horses have been my world since I was eight years old. Between gentling a mustang, competing in English and Western disciplines, and now sharing my life with my own horse, Reggie, I bring a rider's understanding to every session. I know how to read a horse, when to wait, and when the moment is right to press the shutter.

Photography found me in 2018, starting with a duck photo my aunt encouraged me to enter at the state fair. From there, a high school photography class turned into countless hours at the barn practicing on my own horse, and eventually into a full career built on both craft and continued education, including a certification through eCornell and hands-on training around the country.

What I love most is what happens after the shoot. The message that says a client got more than they hoped for, or the portrait that ends up framed on a living room wall. Every session is a step in that journey, and I'd love to help capture yours.

I recently finished editing this beautiful gallery featuring Anna and her drop-dead gorgeous Friesian! We had a lot of fun playing around with utilizing different locations around the property to get some variety in poses and angles!

We also used the "naked halter" for some of her photos in this session! The "naked" halter is a very small rope halter that is designed specifically for me to edit out. This allows clients to get an at-liberty look while keeping the photoshoot process stress-free and safe.
