It's the time in the seasons that the Linden trees captivate me.
They quiety leaf out, creating heart shapes and wings, then stretch forth delicate tendrils. These have tiny buds that slowly fatten, gathering force. Soon, they'll open up, and honey-fragrant feathery flowers will appear...another week or two ahead.
This tree is by a café I frequent. Each year, I visit other trees, too; different varieties and stages of their blossom journey. A heady, quiet delight.
