So often we get caught up in life and our work that we don’t take enough time to appreciate the beauty in the small things. It’s those precious moments that are everywhere that are just simply overlooked. My passion started off with landscape photography because it’s so simple and pure. The lines on a petal, the outline of trees, or the colors of a sun that’s just about set, these are sights that

melt my heart. It has now grown into "people" photography, but my philosophy is still the same. To take photos of the little things and the simple moments.

My first senior Sunday post goes out to Gary Fleming aka Dallen. He truly is the best, such a great heart. I know he will have an amazing senior year & I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for him.

My favorite part of his senior session was that it was at Armitage Park. When I asked if he’d ever been there before he said he’s only been there one other time and that was with me as well. I had forgotten that his family met Casey and I out there during the pandemic to go “fishing”. Made his location even more meaningful.

I couldn't have asked for a better senior to start of my senior season. Dallen made my job so easy and he filled me in on all the good HS gossip. I am so fond of this guy, at every basketball/football game he always has a hug for me and takes the time to hang out. He's there whenever I need another pickleball partner and I love that he still remembers his Oregon Trail name. I am so excited to edit the rest of his session, there are so many good ones.

My vision has changed drastically this year, turns out I am getting old (go figure). For awhile I thought about not doing any sessions because of my vision, but I am glad I changed my mind. There are so many siblings and former students I would have hated to miss out on. So "yes" I am doing a limited amount of sessions, but probably only for families I already know.

Teaching is my main gig, so I take a long hiatus from photography during the school year. Usually the transition back into photography is hard for me, but not with this beauty. Emmie makes my job so easy. Gorgeous spring weather, flowers, and this beauty. I am here for it!

This features one of my formers. Jacob is a Willamette senior this year and I was so excited when his mother reached out about his session because I hadn’t seen him since he left SC. He was always so stylish and put together as a 4th grader, some things never change! I am always thankful for having this job that allows me to connect with many of my student and families again.
