In life, we aren’t promised a perfect, stress-free life. We are actually told that we will go through trials and tribulations. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance” (James 1:2-7 NIV). God teaches us lessons and builds us stronger through trouble and heartbreak. When you are in the darkest of valleys, God wants you to cry out to him. Because “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18 NIV). We aren’t made to know everything that will happen or even if things will turn out successful. This is where faith comes in. We may want to run away when facing hardship, but God calls us to do the opposite; not pleasing what the flesh wants, but what God wants. There is a purpose in the pain. Seek God, and he’ll lead you “along the right paths” (Psalm 23:3).

I have absolutely loved my first semester at !! I love how focused on God everything and everyone is here. I have made so many great friends and connections already. This college truly is spiritual development first, education second. Also, the campus is really beautiful! Even though college work can be stressful, I realize that God is with me everywhere I go. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NIV).
