This. Being an American who loves to travel here in my own country, we have met the nicest people. I am sure it would be the same if we get the opportunity to travele out of the country. People every where are generally still good and gracious, no matter what the media says. We need to stop listening to them, and get outside and meet each other where it matters.

Life is hard.

Life is heartbreaking.

Life is beautiful.

Life is funny.

I’ve learned all of those things this year.

But these sunflowers still stop me in my tracks.

Maybe that’s God’s way of reminding us that no matter how heavy life gets, beauty is still there waiting for us to notice it.

And sometimes, it takes your breath away.

Life happens. And sometimes it completely rearranges your plans.

My photography has been at a standstill for a while, but I’ve discovered that working with glass is pretty fun too. Apparently life decided it was time for me to step out of my box and try something different.

So while I’m not out chasing wildlife as much these days, I thought I’d share an old favorite—the photo that made me fall in love with both photography and bison.

My next Buffalo piece. This time I added one of my vintage Indiana Glass Tiara Amber Plate moons. The pieces (other than the moon) are so tiny, it’s taking forever. But the Buffalo and trees are finished, so now to fill in the background.

On another note: I am always looking for these pieces of glassware, if you have any lying around. I would love to buy them from you if the price is right.

This weekend, Flagpoles Honoring Our Veterans came by to install a flagpole and honor Jason’s service. We were also blessed to have friends and family join us for the ceremony. It was a truly special day, and one we won’t soon forget.

I’ve shared a few photos on my personal page, but since not everyone follows me there, I wanted to share them here as well.

I miss getting out with my camera, but we’ve had a lot going on lately, and it may be a little while before I can get back out chasing photographs. And this Oklahoma heat, y’all! 🥵 I hope everyone is staying cool.

Tomorrow, I plan to start my next glass project. That’s something I can do from home—in the air conditioning—and I’m looking forward to getting creative again.
