My texts are starting to reflect stanzas and lines that break off and start up in various forms.

I love it

In ways I

Have yet to

Understand,

yet love.

Rest, suppress, address the need, review, boo hoo, forget the breed of the unthinking, frozen, refusal to break open and to regard the magnificence of love, churning through eternity with a reliance and balanced harmony in every cell and intention, never asking for repayment, compensation or loyalty, no want for repentance or bleeding in the pew, love grants because we are, love is the force to receive, to ask, to adhere, to listen, then like a gentle breeze on an early autumn morning, is there, as are you.

Air is thick with change; the strawberry moon hangs above Lady Liberty’s torch, the air of the city, the way, the arc is you whether in Egypt, London or Timbuktu, freedom is you and always shall be

Share this with the lads who came from you who bear your mark and wisdom, double smarts, parents who were meant, and even so the freedom is there, like a walk all the way to Harlem or over the Brooklyn Bridge, your walk is this walk like a bagel on a Sunday morning, hot Indian on a steamy Saturday night, you’re you and that is that and it is law

The strawberry moon knows, knows you
Lady liberty lifts her torch to you

Internationally loved and in devotion we submit to you

Your torch touches the moon

I had to be with you all those decades ago, I had to, it was not an option. Every cell in my body called for you; I was no match nor did I want to be. And so we became one and two daughters followed, but you could not walk with us, you stumbled and fell out of sight: but I had to be with you, until I couldn’t, until these two babies became the priority and you agreed, but oh how we missed you and oh how good it would have been to do this with you: the girls seeing your mastery through the misery of what couldn’t be. You gave what you could and then you fell off the side of the world and I miss you every day, every time I see my girls’ faces, yet everything was determined they be born and that’s the glory of Father’s Day, even for the ones who slide out of sight from illness or despair, they gave the seed of their heart and it just has to be enough; it just must.
