Well, I know I said that I wouldn’t be posting here. But, when you visit a place that is doing an enormous good for the community, you kind of need to share about it!
So I bring to you Project 66 in Edmond. I had the absolute joy of being a fly on the wall during their morning volunteer hours. What I saw was a huge group of people, showing up as if it were their day job, and putting in joyful work to help others. My greatest take-away from my experience was that this organization is Christ-centered, and there are reminders of that everywhere that you look. Not only do they feed people, they pray with people, they celebrate people, and they value all people as equal children of God.
If your family is facing food scarcity, please visit them. If you want to help, volunteer! It’s a great group of people and you’ll be welcomed with a smile. And, of course, donations go a long way too!
