🌊 Happy World Ocean Day 🌊
The ocean has shaped so much of who I am.
From studying microscopic marine life under a microscope during my Marine Science program, to exploring coastal ecosystems, to sharing unforgettable adventures on the water with family, the ocean has always been a place of discovery, wonder, and connection.
This collection of photos represents just a small part of that journey—from some of the smallest organisms in the ocean to one of its most iconic predators. Each plays an important role in the health of our marine ecosystems and reminds us that every living thing is connected.
The ocean gives us so much: oxygen, food, recreation, inspiration, and countless memories. Today is a reminder that protecting it is a responsibility we all share.
Whether your favorite ocean memory is collecting shells on the beach, fishing with family, watching a sunrise over the water, or encountering incredible marine life, I hope you’ll take a moment today to appreciate the beauty and importance of our oceans.
