Our Story
We’re Lauren and Laurence of Maar Photography; a husband and wife team working together to capture memories of you and your loved ones, right here in SoCal.
From a young age, I’ve always been in love with photography and art. I started using my mom’s film camera, and waiting (not so patiently) for it to get developed and to finally see the finished prints. I can still remember my first digital camera and how that opened up a whole new world for me to explore through the lens. Although I worked extensively throughout school in photo restoration and digital creation, my photography was put on the back burner as we started our life and family together. It didn’t take long for both Laurence and myself to get back into capturing the beauty of our every day life as our family grew. Those precious photos we took of our kids growing up are priceless and it really drove both of us to want to help capture those moments for our friends and family. We’ve been working professionally for 6 years, and growing each session. We cannot express how it feels when we hear from our clients how much they treasure our work as photographers and we look forward to many more years capturing your life stages and memories!
