***SEPTEMBER HORSE HIGHLIGHT***
I am so happy to introduce Miss Willow as our horse of the month! Willow’s story is similar to many sadly, her owner in trusted a training facility to take great care of her and we discovered the day I picked her up, that was not the case. She was underweight, suffered from skin issues that were not being addressed and was pretty angry with humans which is understandable. I wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to stay but I felt that giving her time and patience we would get to see the real Willow.
I am happy to report that the past couple months she has been thriving and has begun the process of loving life again! Willow is funny, charismatic (especially with a treat), extremely laid back for only being 3 years old and loves to boss other horses around outside 😂
Willow is currently one of our leased horses and we look forward to spending more time with her and continueing to help Willow become her best self! Thank you to her owner, Kali for allowing Zick Acres to love on your baby!
**Side note - Willow came from Florida and has yet to experience a Michigan Winter so I am so excited to see her play in the snow for the first time!*
