These sessions are a micro version of my full photography experience, crafted to create safety around perception. Held at my studio, here are a few high points and their differences from a full session:
✨ This session includes a few verbal thoughtful prompts in session (Full sessions include Embodiment journaling prompts workbook and a locally handmade journal as well as a pre-session phone call).
✨ This session includes 10 high-res and digital images hand-edited (not AI). (Full sessions include 30+ images).
✨ Prints are available to order through my online print gallery (Full sessions include a print package).

The grounded, ethereal energy of were what we wanted to capture in this photo session on Park Point for her album cover. This is part of why I intentionally build in reflective time for every single session. The depth, honesty, and intention in these photographs doesn't come from simply talent, or learning a certain style or vibe of photography. It comes from the intentional, safe exchange of storytelling and vulnerability that we share when you work with me. Join us Thursday, November 20 6pm-8pm for a cozy, candle lit evening of floral design, charcuterie, refreshments, and a grounding exercise led by Michaela Rai of What We Saw Collaborative.

The floral centerpiece we will be designing is a beautiful arrangement filled with long lasting seasonal floral, fruits, and greenery. Michaela will lead us in a reflective grounding exercise, and encourage a bit of journaling.

How do you even describe what it feels like to have dreamed of creating this space for people and then hearing these words describe how THEY felt after: "Thank you Michaela for creating such a beautiful and safe space... I left yesterday feeling so calm and relaxed and soft and held. It was a lovely feeling - and you helped create that...It was a very thoughtful experience. I felt so good afterwards (which isn't something I usually feel after a photo session...I usually feel stressed and tired from "performance").

This is everything I've worked to create from years of watching how people responded to the camera, and to perception, and to the photography experience. My own work and healing around the body and the nervous system and how we can support all parts of our system so we are not disassociated in these processes that were trying to show up in has contributed. And of course, Lake Superior and the water in all its wisdom about being present, and flowing, and being still and being wild. I'm so grateful to create these experiences and offer them to you for boudoir/embodiment sessions, branding and headshot sessions, for your family photographs, for whatever story you want to document here in Duluth, Minnesota.
