Shooting on the ice was a different kind of challenge
You’re chasing someone who moves faster than your focus can keep up, on a surface that doesn’t forgive a slow reaction. I had the FX3 handheld at rink-side, just trying to stay locked on her as she carved through spins and falls like it was nothing. What stuck with me wasn’t the technique, though it was her attention to detail
Josephine made her breakthrough in 2024 with a silver medal finish at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, and trains out of Lakewood Ice here in Southern California. Getting to document a small piece of that grind was an honor.
