For half an hour, we watched in stillness as this tiger rested in the dust. When he finally rose, it felt like he was approaching us — but we soon realized he was using our safari truck as cover to stalk a herd of deer across the road. I was lucky enough to witness the hunt unfold, and even luckier when, for just a fleeting second, he paused in the brush and gave me this moment. One frame. One heartbeat.
