As Christmas is approaching, I’ve been reflecting on the Saviors Birth. How neat it must have been to have seen the prophecies fulfilled of his birth! This is my version of the savior’s birth. The sky is inspired by one of my favorite painting “Starry Night” by Van Gogh. I love that he doesn’t just depict the sky as a plain color but with textures, variety of color and a feeling of wonder! I wanted to show that as well with knowing how special that night was when our Savior came to earth with the purpose of saving all mankind. Even those who don’t know him or believe in him or care about him, his love is the same! His gospel is for everyone! I’m so thankful he was born and that we get to have this time to celebrate Him! 🤍
3 Nephi 1
19 And it came to pass that there was no darkness in all that night, but it was as light as though it was mid-day. And it came to pass that the sun did rise in the morning again, according to its proper order; and they knew that it was the day that the Lord should be born, because of the sign which had been given.
20 And it had come to pass, yea, all things, every whit, according to the words of the prophets.
21 And it came to pass also that a NEW STAR did appear, according to the word.”
