Meet Yogi Bear (Yogi for short) 🐻

At 15 years old, this sweet Shiba Inu is still actively serving his community as a therapy dog. For the past four years, Yogi has been making monthly visits through Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD), bringing comfort and smiles to nursing homes and rehabilitation hospitals — and even attending special community events when invited.

There’s something really special about a senior dog who still shows up, tail wagging, ready to make someone’s day a little softer.

Fifteen years of life. Four years of service. Countless quiet moments that meant everything to someone. 🤎

And he’s still going.

Owned by Megan Currier 🤍

Developed in 1840s Germany to resemble the lion on the town of Leonberg’s crest, they later became versatile working dogs used for draft work on farms and beyond.

Despite their massive size, Leonbergers are known as gentle giants. While commonly mistaken as guard dogs, they are calm, steady, and devoted companions.
