Molly Manzanares was a founding member of Tierra Wools in 1982. Tierra Wools is a small business in the rural New Mexico town of Chama. I was honored when the commissioned me to capture some of Molly’s amazing story. What I discovered was incredible. First, she is a master weaver and is fiercely dedicated to keeping this beautiful and meaningful tradition alive. Second, she raises her own sheep! I had no idea how valuable a flock of sheep could be. 🐑 Thank you for sitting down with me, Molly. It was amazing to hear your story. If you are ever in the town of Chama, stop by Tierra Wools. The craftsmanship is beautiful. 🙏🏽

Jerome Rocha, owner of Southwest Choppers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a legend in the lowrider and chopper communities of New Mexico. In this short film, we get a close look at some of Jerome Rocha’s Lowrider Style Chopper builds, also known as “Viclas”. I also made sure to feature a few of the Lowriders in his personal collection. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Jerome for a couple days, hearing his stories, and seeing some of his incredible Vicla builds. This is just a teaser so make sure to watch the story in its entirety on my YT channel! If you enjoy this story, please like, share, follow/subscribe. It really does help further the work I’m doing. Link to the story is in the comments.

I was so blessed to be with my oldest son when he harvested this Oryx over the weekend. He was extremely persistent… this hunt was not easy on us… and harvested this really big and really old broken bull on the last day of the hunt. So many lessons learned over 3 days and many memories created. Im very proud of his efforts and I am also proud that he was able to provide so much organic meat for our family. 🙏🏽 I want to thank my longtime friend and incredibly skilled outfitter Jesse Valdez of NM Wild Outdoors for showing us the techniques that made this moment possible. If you hunt in New Mexico and ever need a guide, Jesse will take good care of you. Thanks for all your help, bro!! You are amazing! ✊🏽 This moment is a lifetime memory for me with my oldest son. ❤️

They were married for 67 years before she passed away… Rudy and Eva Lucero built a life and a legacy on the ranch they met on.

5 years before she went to heaven, Mrs. Eva Lucero sat down with me and shared her beautiful story. She began the story with her great grandfather, Marcos Luján, and how he acquired their beautiful Pecos ranch in the early 1900’s. In this segment, she recalls beautiful memories of growing up on the ranch in the 1930’s and 1940’s. I could listen to Eva talk for hours. Again, Im so blessed her family had the foresight to capture her voice and story before she passed. Enjoy this clip! 🙏🏽

Took my wife and kids to Spaña yesterday. Had lunch in Santa Fe and then we spent some time walking through the Lowrider Phenomena at Ohkay Casino. Was blessed to meet some new friends, like Mike and Nathan Sisneros (Nathan’s bike is featured in the first image in this post), as well as catch up with Fred and Anthony Rael and Bobby and Joe Chacón and their families. New Mexico car culture is second to none. Truly. Amazing cars, amazing viclas… but even more, amazing people!! Here are a few images I snapped at the show. Took more but saving them for future videos, shorts, and reels.

In a vast crowd of fly tiers, Eli Gonzales stands out. What initially drew me to Eli was that he wasn’t trying to be anybody else. His creations were unique and his take on fly tying was refreshing. The man is genuinely humble, a trait which I value very highly. From our first conversation, I knew he had no desire to become famous or known. He simply loved to tie flies and it was obvious, HE WAS VERY GOOD AT IT!!! I love when I get to tell stories of people like Eli. It makes the process worthwhile and the end product is that much more rewarding! Here’s a segment from our first short film together where Eli describes his beginnings as a fly tier and angler.

With 2 Lowrider films completely finished, I really wanted to capture another aspect of New Mexico’s car culture in my work… VICLAS! My cousin Edward Mentz, himself a Lowrider builder and enthusiast for many decades, suggested I sit down with . Jerome Rocha has been building Lowrider style bikes, now commonly known as Viclas, for several decades. The interview was awesome and after, Jerome gave me a tour of his Lowrider car and Vicla collection. You’ll enjoy hearing Jerome’s story and seeing his beautiful craftsmanship. Look for this story to premiere in October. 🙏🏽 I want to thank Jerome for sharing his time and story with me! And thanks to my cousin Edward for suggesting a great story! ✊🏽 Here’s a pic from our interview and a couple quick pics of one of Jerome’s many Vicla builds. Much more to come in the short film.

The late MH “Dutch” Salmon remembering how he fell in love with the Gila River… Sitting down and talking with this man was a true experience. The way he told his story. The way he talked about the Gila, and water, and land. Incredible experience for me. Dutch passed in 2019, 3 years after we shot this interview, so I’m really honored to have captured a small part of his story and voice.
