A few of my favorite silhouettes. I made them swipeable so you could see them a bit larger. I often shoot images that in my mind are meant to be seen much bigger than a phone could ever be. Maybe part of that is how big it is when you’re actually shooting , the other part, at least for me, is for you to feel what I felt. Whatever made me excited enough to share it with you.

Wich one is your favorite?

Happy birthday to one of my best friends in life. Brian Grubb is one of a kind and his passion and drive are unmatched. Not many people keep getting better as time moves on. Brian seems to get better year after year. Cheers to you my friend! Have the very best day!

I shot this image of Josh Twelker years ago. Maybe back in 2015-2016. There was a series of them like this. I was floating in the water and had two strobes attached to the tower and one on land behind me. The set up was for him to hit the wake near me so I could get the fill lite, that was sitting on land to illuminate Josh. But when he landed he would cut back in for one more trick and I’d shoot one more. By that time the fill lite wasn’t close enough or at the right angle to do anything so it was being lit by only the strobes on the boat. I really liked the results and learned a little something in the process. It’s been 10+ years since I happened across this by chance. I still love the images that came from that day. We had a great crew that worked tirelessly to get awesome shots. As time passes on you can’t help but appreciate the people who pushed you, and who you may have pushed to take a shot at belonging to something we all loved so much.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we lost our brother, Randall Harris.

Today, the wakeboard community is coming together to celebrate his life and help support his daughter through the Harmony Fund. We are Auctioning off Randall’s one of a kind memorial boat and many athletes and friends are also auctioning off wakeboarding memorabilia at VandallBoat.com

The Vandall Memorial Auction is officially live
(runs through Sept 7)
Please share it. Bid if you can.

Thank you for your help in Remembering  Randall.

I shot this image of for late 2025 while in Texas. This dudes Instagram is pretty awesome. I followed him before I met him just cause I was into the stuff he posted. Mostly golf but with a heavy cowboy influence. We got up in the morning on our second day there to catch a sunrise and do some dove hunting. It’s crazy how you can try all day to get something epic during the meat of the day and for the most part you can but nothing compares to morning and evening light. Although it may be hard to get it going in the am it’s always worth it. For some reason when I get up I’m usually in a good mood. Maybe even a little annoying cause I’m ready to start cracking jokes. I find that my audience is much more receptive when they’re still a bit tired. Either way it’s fun and you end up with some great shots most of the time.

My parents came by for a bit and I sat my mom down to take a few shots of her while she was picking up the flowers my finance bought for her on Mother’s Day. I can’t say in words how much my entire family and my lady mean to me. They’re the most important thing in my life without question. Love you ❤️

Thank you mom for a lifetime of devoting everything you are to all of us. You’re beautiful and although we will never be able to repay you for the life you gave us,and your selflessness when it comes to making sure we are good men that open doors for others, look people in the eyes when we speak and respect our elders we will always be forever grateful for everything that you have given us. Love you. ❤️

Just hopped off the phone with my good friend . For anyone who follows Watersports, He's an icon of wakeboarding and wakeskating. He’s helped mold the sport into what it is today. His birthday just passed on the 20th of April and recently he was on our mutual friends' podcast who are also watersports legends . Between these guys, there’s a lot of wakeboard history and a whole lot of life experience. I got to travel the globe with many of these guys and girls over a 15-year or so span and it’s such an incredible way to get to know the world around you. You’re off to cities all over the United States every week. Once a month or so you get to travel to a foreign country where you’re usually greeted by someone who knows the lay of the land and shows you the very best parts of their culture. Scott has been on twice now and he mentioned that he wants to go back on to share a bit more. I told him that I enjoyed it and he should absolutely go back on and keep in mind that he has a literal lifetime in the sport and to cover all the bases it would take many episodes. I’m here for it! His first episode was episode 9 and I think this was episode 32. Parks and Shane have created a cool thing on their podcast. Yes, it's Wakeboards heavy but those guys transcend wakeboarding and have been involved with so many different people and projects through action sports, and beyond that the pool of people they can access to have on the show is almost limitless. If you get a moment and like to hear wild stories and some heartfelt conversations I’d recommend it. There’s a reason these guys have had the longevity and it’s not just because they’re great athletes. They’re great people who have represented our industry when it was booming. They carried the torch long before pocket computers, social media, and digital cameras were even a thing, and were still global icons. Hats off to you my friend and Happy birthday. I can’t wait for the next one, maybe I can sit in!?!
