There’s something about rainy day sessions that feels cinematic in the best way. The soft light, the reflections in the puddles, the quiet mood in the air… everything slows down just enough to create magic.

Sommer was absolutely stunning to photograph and embraced every drop of rain like she was made for this kind of weather. These images feel soft, moody, feminine, and a little bit wild all at once, which honestly makes my artist heart so happy. ☔️✨

There’s something really special about photographing families who feel instantly familiar. ❤️ This beautiful family and I discovered we’re originally from the same hometown area, which made this session feel even more meaningful. From the very beginning, they were warm, kind, easygoing, and absolutely wonderful to work with. Their kids were full of personality and joy, and you can truly feel the love they have for each other in every photo.

Some families just have a way of making everything feel easy. The Campbell family brought so much warmth, humor, and connection into this session, and you could feel how much they genuinely enjoy being around one another. Some families just have a warmth about them the second you meet them, and this one absolutely did.♥️ The sweetest kids, so much laughter, so many little moments in between poses, and such kind, genuine energy from everyone. Sessions like this are such a beautiful reminder that the best photos are never just about smiling at the camera. They’re about connection, chaos, cuddles, giggles, and love. Thank you Carah for introducing me to your family.

Some people carry entire worlds inside of them. Music, stories, softness, light. RubyAnn has that kind of spirit. The kind that makes you feel calm the moment you’re around her. We spent the evening wandering through the trees at golden hour with guitars, accordions, wild spring light, and the sound of water nearby. It honestly felt less like a photo session and more like stepping into a little folk song for a while.

These are some of my favorite kinds of sessions to create. Quiet, artistic, a little whimsical, and completely human. ✨
