✨ Another Incredible Milestone for DSFA! ✨

There are moments as a founder that make you stop, take a deep breath, and simply be thankful.

Today is one of those moments.

The Diamondhead School of Fine Arts has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission to help produce our next two theatrical productions! 🎭

Just this week, we were humbled to learn that DSFA was nominated for Hancock County Nonprofit of the Year. Earlier this year, we celebrated purchasing our very first campus. Now, the State of Mississippi is investing in our students and our mission through the Mississippi Arts Commission.

When I started DSFA, our productions were built with borrowed equipment, rented microphones, and sets made from classroom dry-erase boards. We had a dream much bigger than our resources.

Today, because of the incredible support of our community, sponsors, volunteers, families, grant partners, and audiences, our students perform with professional sound, beautiful sets, theatrical lighting, and opportunities that many young artists only dream about.

This grant is about so much more than dollars. It is a vote of confidence. It is an investment in creativity, education, and the belief that every child deserves access to the arts.

To the Mississippi Arts Commission—thank you for believing in organizations like ours and helping ensure that quality arts education continues to thrive on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

And to our DSFA family... this belongs to you, too.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead School of Fine Arts cast, crew, directors, and production team on not only an amazing production, but also a completely sold-out run for all three performances! What an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to the support from the community and the dedication of everyone involved. I’m so grateful for Diamondhead School of Fine Arts and the way they continue to support my photography business. It truly means a lot to be trusted to capture these productions and all the hard work that goes into them.

These kids brought so much energy, personality, and heart to the stage and those in-between moments are always my favorite to catch.
