Detroit’s historic Thomas M. Cooley High School is set to be demolished this summer.

The school opened in 1928 on Detroit’s northwest side and became one of the city’s most recognizable high schools. It closed in 2010 and has sat vacant ever since.

The site is now planned to become a $25 million sports complex for students and the surrounding community.

For many Detroiters, Cooley is more than an old school building. It’s a piece of neighborhood history.

Pratt Miller just won in Detroit 🏁🏎️

The No. 3 Corvette Racing by Corvette Z06 GT3.R took the GTD PRO win on the streets of Downtown Detroit, marking a major hometown moment during Grand Prix weekend.

Based in New Hudson, has been building championship winning race cars in Michigan for 30+ years. This weekend, that work showed up on the streets of Detroit.

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? The YA’SSOO Greek Festival is happening May 22 through 24 with 3 days of authentic Greek food, music, dancing, and culture.

Indian Village is one of Detroit’s most historic neighborhoods, and it has been standing since 1895.

Located on the east side the neighborhood was built during the rise of Detroit’s auto industry and was home to some of the city’s most powerful families.

Over 350 homes were designed by some of Detroit’s most celebrated architects, including Albert Kahn, and feature 17 different architectural styles.

Indian Village remains one of the most well-preserved residential districts in Detroit.

A sneak peek inside the JW Marriott Detroit Water Square.

We got an inside tour of the new luxury hotel taking shape along Detroit’s riverfront, and the views are going to be a major part of the experience.

The hotel will feature 600 guest rooms, including 44 suites with floor to ceiling windows, 4 locally curated restaurants and bars, outdoor riverfront terraces, and more than 53,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Guests can also expect an 11,000 square foot spa with 9 water view treatment rooms, a 3,500 square foot fitness studio, a 50 foot indoor lap pool, and a JW Executive Lounge.

Located along Detroit’s Riverwalk, JW Marriott Detroit Water Square is set to bring a new luxury hotel experience to the riverfront.
